Tape-in Extensions Aftercare

Brushing and Washing- using a boar bristle brush, secure your hair with your hand at the root and brush from root to end. Always brush prior to getting hair wet, do not wash hair more than 3x per week. Do not shampoo hair within the first 48 hours of installation. After wetting hair, gently apply shampoo to the root, using your finger tips gently massage the shampoo on the scalp between tape/bonds, exasperating them well to remove residue and oil. Rinse out. DO NOT vigorously scrub.

Apply Conditioner from mid length to ends , NEVER at the root! Do not go to sleep with wet hair, a loose braid is suggested for sleeping.

Styling- Your new extensions can be styled endlessly. DO NOT: aim a blow dryer at the tape/bond area or flat iron the tape/bonds. Begin your pass a little lower than the tape/bond area. Apply a heat protectant spray to the ends of your extensions to protect them from excessive heat styling damage.

Before any type of activities (pool, beach, swim, gym, biking) secure your hair well in a braid or under a cap.

Summer Care- before entering chlorinated water or saltwater be sure to soak your hair thoroughly with clean water. Spray a leave in conditioner to help prevent the extension from soaking up as much chlorine or salt. Put your hair in a ponytail or loose braid.  After getting out of the water immediately wash your hair thoroughly.

Permanent Make Up

For 7 Days Following Application of Permanent Make Up:

Permanant MakeupDo not touch the healing pigmented area with your fingers, bacteria could be present and create an infection.

Apply your favorite antibiotic ointment or Vaseline 3-5 times daily until the procedure area has healed.

Always use a clean cotton swab and not your fingertips. We suggest Vaseline as it is non-reactive in most clients.

No make-up, tinting of lashes or brows, sun, soap, sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming in chlorine pools or in the ocean for 7-10 days (until area is completely healed) post-procedure and after all touch-ups.

Before bathing, gently apply a light coating of Vaseline on the procedure area using a clean cotton swab. Continue this regimen until the procedure area has completely healed.

Do not rub or traumatize the procedure area while it is healing – pigment may be removed along with crusting tissue.

Use a sunblock after the procedure area has healed to prevent future fading of pigment color.

Do not use products that contain AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) or Retinol A or similar lightening products on the procedure area (example: Glycolic, Lactic Acids. Check your product labeling.). These products will fade your pigment color.

Try to sleep on a satin pillowcase while the procedure area is healing.
